In case you were wondering
IRS Publication 525: "Illegal income, such as money from dealing illegal drugs, must be included in your income on Form 1040, line 21, or on Schedule C or Schedule C-EZ [relating to self-employment income] if from your self-employment activity."
Hey, there has to be some way to catch those sorts of people, even if they get locked up only for tax evasion... But isn't it nice to see that the IRS actually does something to benefit society? ;)
Heh. right. Maybe we should pass a statute that says you have to report your own illegal activity to criminal prosecutors and then make IRS agents prosecutors... Oh, wait, 5th Amendment...
